Located on the edge of a seasonal floodplain in Botswana’s Okavango Delta, this new off-grid ecotourism lodge for just eight guests has been designed as a quiet intervention in a remarkable natural setting.
The lightweight structures and platforms respond to the rhythms of the landscape —sheltering from the midday sun, and seeking elevation for breezes and horizon views.
With a focus on minimal environmental impact, the camp is designed around passive principles, a light footprint and a deep respect for the ecology of this unique wilderness environment. Every structure will be removed when the camp closes, with no permanent impact made on the site. No trees felled, no concrete in the ground, no man-made waste in the water table. Structures are lightweight, elevated, simple. Designed to be removed.
The result is a place that celebrates simplicity, exploration and a renewed connection to the natural world.
