Project summary

Benny’s Bungalow is a new build home for a family of four (plus Benny the Groodle).

The site faces south across a canal in Broadbeach Waters on the Gold Coast. The clients love to entertain, and wanted the home to have the feel of a resort, whilst providing practical solutions to accommodate their teenage children and, of course, Benny.

The house maximises views, verticality, and daylight, and leans into the subtropical climate through integration of landscape and water both inside and outside the house. A palette of warm natural materials compliments the lush vegetation and waterside location.
